Finding “the right” parenting resource can be quite overwhelming and challenging when there are so many options to choose from. FeelingStable recognizes that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach. The Playbook includes a lot of information and strategies for you to work with so that you can decide what is best for you and your family.
The Playbook is:
For parents and caregivers who are…
eager to understand emotional dysregulation and recognize it in all its forms
interested in learning new skills to support your child’s emotional well-being
looking for evidenced-based strategies that are effective with children
raising healthy children who could use some extra support with navigating emotional moments
already involved in therapy or psychological treatment and looking for tools you can refer back to between sessions
wanting flexibility to work at your own pace. You can access the Playbook anytime, anywhere for as long as you want.
an educational resource, much like a book you might buy at a bookstore, a collection of videos and worksheets you can review and use at home if you feel they might be useful. This is an educational resource intended to educate a wide variety of parents and kids, and it is not intended to speak to all families or to solve all problems.
The Playbook is not:
for parents, children, or families in crisis. If you or your child are in crisis, reach out to a local professional who can provide psychological support and services.
a place for diagnoses. Since Annie and Sophie are not your psychologists, they cannot provide anyone accessing and using FeelingStable a diagnosis.
for individuals looking for a quick fix or guaranteed solution. Parenting is an ongoing journey, and FeelingStable cannot guarantee an "anxiety-free" or “always regulated” child or a problem-free parenting experience.
a substitute for professional advice. FeelingStable is not a substitute for professional advice or treatment when dealing with specific behavioral or developmental issues in children. If needed, parents should seek guidance from qualified professionals.
a substitute for the receipt of psychological services, and you should not use this resource if you feel that you may utilize or rely on FeelingStable in lieu of seeking services from a licensed professional.
